Fish Oil supplements contain omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 has been shown to decrease inflammation in various parts of the body. Omega-3's role in eye care involves helping dry eye patients. Oil glands, located in our upper and lower eyelids, can become gradually inflamed over time. This inflammation decreases oil production, and allows the tears on our eyes to evaporate much more quickly. Omega-3 fatty acids often are used in combination with other forms of dry eye therapy. If your eyes feel gritty, tired, or tear up throughout the day, you may have dry eye. Advanced Eye Care Center is a Dry Eye Center of Excellence and can help you today!  Call (419)521-3937 to get started!
