For patients with mild to moderate primary open-angle glaucoma considering cataract surgery, the CyPass Micro-Stent may help to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) and decrease the patients’ dependence on glaucoma medication. Two years after CyPass treatment, 72.5% of patients still experience >20% decrease in IOP and CyPass treatment is 32% more effective at lowering IOP than stand-alone cataract surgery.
