July is Ultraviolet light awareness month

A little protection can go a long way

We’d like to remind to you wear sunglasses when outside this summer. UV exposure can cause damage to our eyes in a variety of ways, including cataract progression, worsening of macular degeneration, and can lead to potentially cancerous skin lesions. Excessive UV exposure can quickly worsen dry eye--causing grittiness, tearing, and redness.

Sunglasses block these harmful rays from reaching sensitive tissue in our eyes. Check out our optical shop to see our premier selection of sunglasses, including our Ray-Ban line. Our optician Bonnie can help find the perfect set of shades for you, creating personalized experience and look.  Protect your eyes this summer; please wear sunglasses!
