This device stimulates glands in our eyes to produce their own natural tears. Our natural tears hydrate our eyes better than artificial tears, as they are made of a complex mixture of water, oil, and mucus.
True Tear applies a gentle pulse of stimulation to the trigeminal nerve. Patients insert the soft flexible tips gently into their nasal cavity. Patients have control of the intensity of the pulse stimulation. Use of True Tear is recommended to be used at least twice per day and can be used for a maximum of 30 minutes per day.
