Entropion is a condition where eyelids rotate inwards towards the eye ball. Because of this, eyelashes are in direct contact with the surface of the eye. Imagine how irritating constantly having one or more eyelashes in the eye would be!

Throughout a full day of blinking, theses lashes painfully abrade the cornea and conjunctiva. Other symptoms include grittiness, redness, tearing, and blurry vision. Left untreated, scarring can results-significantly impacting vision. Mild cases may be helped by lubricating ointments. Severe cases require surgical intervention with Dr. Ballitch.
